Everything looks good

I personally find wd blacks to be overpriced tbh and they don't give much of a performance boost over a wd blue just a preference thing though mostly, oh and I editited this due to misreading the parts

Looks great to me!  Only concern would be that you know what you like in terms of peripherals; they're very personal and subjective items.

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Looking good. Its very similar to the one I am getting. I have been told that the EVGA SuperNova isn't the best PSU but mroe a Mid-Tier one. I don't know exactly what that means in the long run though

Specific lineups in the SuperNOVA series such as the G1 and B1 NEX series are mediocre but the G2 lineup is one of the best PSUs you can buy right now.

Be nice to each other boys and girls. And don't cheap out on a power supply.

Slightly off topic, this is my first gaming build and I've been saving up money for quite a while, so I want to make sure I'm getting the best for my money:

Any recommendations?

Nice deal you found there on the RAM. If you want to save a few bucks, get a Windows 10 license somewhere else though- here's a great video from Paul's Hardware on getting them from Kinguin. Also, like @AresKrieger said, the WD black is pretty expensive- I generally balk at paying more for my hard drive than I did for the motherboard.

Look at my systems:

Spoiler

My main testing/gaming system "Bitlo" is an upgraded HP Pavilion p6710f:

AMD Athlon II X4 640 undervolted to 1.225v vcore @3.00GHz, with additional undevolts for each P-state.

Stock AMD cooler- with the undervolt that's all I actually need

8GB PNY DDR3

Zotac GTX 560 Ti, 880MHz core & 2360MHz mem at stock voltage, has been delidded and repasted, plan on strapping an AIO on to overcome current temp issues

EVGA 500W PSU

120GB Toshiba Q300 SSD

1TB Seagate HDD

Every day carry: Toshiba Satellite L655-S5150. Pentium P6200 @2.13GHz, 4GB RAM.

Black themed workstation I'm working on:

Xeon E5-2670 (SR0KX)

Cooler Master Hyper T4

ASRock X79 Extreme4

16GB (2x8) Adata XPG DDR3

Gigabyte R9 290 OC Edition

Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS

Dell XPS 630i 750W PSU

OCZ Vertex 3 120GB SSD

Hitachi Ultrastar 1TB HDD

Diablotek EVO ATX Midtower case
