Technical problem

Hey Guys!

 

Here is my problem...I bought 2 hdmi <-> mini-dp cables from monoprice http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10246&cs_id=1024603&p_id=9474&seq=1&format=2

 

i have a HD 7870 and 3 MX-279 when i switched  cables to go with the hdmi-minidp cables i can only have 2 screens... it tells me to disable one monitor

 

so 2 in the mini dp and one in hdmi it wont work

 

my current connection is crazy

first screen has hdmi to dvi to mini-dp adapter http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=104&cp_id=10428&cs_id=1042802&p_id=5106&seq=1&format=2

second screen hdmi to dvi to displayport to mini dp

third is straight up hdmi

 

it works good this way but mini-dp connections suck it gets loose easily with the weight of the adapters

 

Any ideas on a fix or what could be my problem

ducttape might solve your problem

 not the response i was hoping for...but yeah not changing is what i'm doing now but it would be nice to clean up the mess

you kinda lost me dp to this to that...   dvi to hdmi adapters are cheap though and they should work just fine, I use one. btw I like mini dp...it's not chunky like dvi or god forbid a vga !

My card has 2 mini display port 1 hdmi and 1 dvi

 

curently connected in the mini display ports are hdmi to dvi with adapters but i want to get rid of adapters and use the hdmi to mini display

 

I just bought 2 cables from monoprice hdmi to mini display

Really no one has a clue as to why it wont work?
