You could probably wait for the RX 480 to come out depending on how much it is where you live, it would be a lot better than the 750ti

Also, use pcpartpicker

Maybe instead of the 4690K get the 5600K and a different motherboard (I can't recommend you any right now, but it shouldn't be too hard to find)? I think you actually should overclock, because you would gain a lot of extra performance, but if you don't, why get an unlocked CPU? You can get the locked version and save a lot of money. I also think you should get the 240BG version of that SSD.

And maybe 16BG of RAM instead of 8? I heard many people say you can live with 8, but I currently use 8 and I feel really limited, so I think 16 can be a major improvement... It is most likely just me, but maybe not.

OK, I have an option for you

 http://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/YvWcf8

1077 Euros, but with mATX case/itx mobo/16GB RAM ddr4/ac wifi on board  and a gtx1070... figured the price of the non-ref cards might be around 400 Euros, but there's a bit of wiggle room with the PSU and RAM that could be dropped for less spec, but personally I prefer a decent PSU that will last longer and give better power, so might not spin up the fans so much and is fully modular.

thanks a lot. i think i am going with paddystones one,but onboard wifi is something he doesn't need.

so i choose a different motherboard.i also choose a cheaper case, as this is going to be case modded anyway.

The parts are not 100% compatible, look at the compatibility notes.

And I still think you do better go with the i5 6600 instead of the 6500...

Woah!!! You don't need a psu that big for a single gpu setup. Your motherboard doesn't support SLI so you can't add a 2nd GTX 1070 anyway.

A good 550W is all you need:

http://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/Rkh9TW/xfx-power-supply-p1550bbefx

That Arctic Alpine cpu cooler will be no better than the stock Intel one.

I would put the money saved from the psu towards a better case.

You don't need a CPU cooler. The stock cooler is fine if you don't overclcok, and since your CPU is locked, you should have no problem using the stock one (which comes with the CPU).

I don't know many cases, but I recently built in the Cooler Master Mastercase Pro 5, and it's great. It is more expensive than the one you got, but it is worth it.

I think maybe for the power supply you can go with this one: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/MfJwrH/evga-power-supply-220g20750xr

If you feel like spending a lot of money, maybe go with the 850W version, but I doubt you will need it, since Pascal is super power efficient.

Yes, I know you don't even need it because your motherboard only supports one graphics card, but to be honest...that motherboard looks pretty bad. Motherboard is not the kind of parts you want to cheap on and get a 50 dollar one. Maybe get the Asus Z170-E. This is still a pretty budget one, but with mant major improvements which you might like.

I know I raised the price of your build by a little bit, but not a huge amount, so I think it should be fine. What do you think?

He doesn't need a 750W psu though.

Also the Asus Z170-E is more than double the price of the one in his spec. He is already at 1000 Euros.

This is the list I said:

http://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/dVbkLD

Price seems a bit more expensive, this is true, but nothing insane... If it is too much, and you want to lower it, here is one that looks good: http://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/L7Z23F

It doesn't include the price of the power supply in the dutch version of PcPartsPicker, so here is its page on the US version, so you will get the prices: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/qYTrxr/evga-power-supply-220g20550y

If this is also too expensive, so maybe try Mastercase 5 (instead of the Pro 5), or this one.

It's just really important to spend (more) money on a component such as a motherboard in my opinion...

You are looking at 85 Euros minimum for the EVGA G2 550W. Also the GTX 1070 is going to be more than that. You are looking at around £400 for a GTX 1070 in the UK which translates to about 500 Euros, so you are still over budget.

There are no prices for the GTX 1070 or EVGA G2 550W on the German pcpartpicker. Where did you get the 400 Euros from for the gpu ?

It's a balance between the minimum for the custom cards and the price of the founders card, but instead of the dollar sign it has the euro sign, meaning it will most likely be cheaper.

Let's just wait for him to respond. We don't actually know what is his budget, all we have seen is that most of the lists were a little above 1000 euros, but maybe he has more.

Well, he can always get an RX 480 instead. I mean, we still don't know if it will compete with the 1070, but it makes sense it does. We will just have to wait for the benchmarks.

I have no idea what you are on about, but if you look at the UK pcpartpicker you can see that the cheapest GTX 1070 listed is £391.

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/products/video-card/#c=369&sort=a8&page=1

£1 is about 1.26 Euros at current exchange rates, so that works out at about 495 Euros. UK and European prices are pretty similar for pc hardware.
