Now i'll be going to the states for a holiday and i'd like to take the chance to pick up some audio goodies. came across this IEM and i love the look of it. is it worth the dollar? <-- it seems the way but thought i'd post here to have a secon opinion.

if not i'll pick up a DT990 Pro lulz is that good for FPS too

currently researching between 990 and ATH-AD900X for FPS lol

these are what im thinking for IEM's and cans.

hope to gain some insight as well, pls let me know of other webs i can purchase from as i do not want to be limited by amazon alone..=/ not very familiar other than knowing amazon/newegg/fry's(closes to my apartment in Anaheim).

Heir Audio has really great reviews from the audiophile community as far as I know. Right up there with Westone, Shure, Sennheiser, Earsonics. If you're looking at IEMs, you should also consider what they have. For IEMs, I really recommend trying them out if possible. Not always possible if you're ordering online, but if you can find a store near you specializing in high-end audio, often they'll let you audition IEMs.

As for full sized headphones, I'm not as familiar, though the DT990 Pro are definitely good.

Desktop: Core i5-2500K, ASUS GTX 560, MSI Z68A GD65, CM HAF 912 Advanced, OCZ Vertex 4, WD 1TB Black, Seasonic P660, Samsung S27A850D, Audioengine A2, Noctua NH-D14, NB eLoops

Laptop: Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon

Peripherals: Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2013, Razer Deathadder 3.5G, Razer Deathadder 2013, Razer Goliathus Control, Razer Manticor

If I were you I would spend as much money as you can on some headphones, and sell them back in your own country. I've seen headphones go for 2 or 3 times what they are here in other countries.

DT 990's, AD700x/900x, pioneer A1000's are all example of really cheap headphones.

Whoops forgot that you are Singaporean too!

You can go to Jaben Network(at the Adelphi) or Stereo Electronics(Plaza Singapura/ION orchard) to try out earphones if you feel brave enough to go browsing with little intention to buy. They do often have bundles which will bring them to a similar price to the US, but only if you want every single part of the bundle. From what I've seen here is usually about 50% more expensive than the US.

You cannot really earn much from selling them here, unless you happen to chance upon some really gullible people. Most people are aware of the difference between local and overseas warranty, and their values are very different as a result

Every country is different, just a thought to earn a quick buck and help out some people in your country.

Yeah it's a great tip that everyone should know! Just telling him that it's not very applicable here.

The more I read abt the Heir Audio, the more I'm getting fond of it. The wood looks..omg. I think I'm sold on the Heir Audio 3.Ai and a Fiio E10

Edit: the only diff I can see on paper is the extra driver for bass on the 4.Ai or am I wrong?
