New GPU help

I'm looking to buy a 780 for my new computer. Should I wait and get the r9 290x. does anyone know prices or release dates. Would like to start getting parts by the end or October.

 

P.S. I'm going to upgrade to water cooling so I'm leaning toward the 780 because there are water blocks for it.

It's rumoured to have better performance than a titan for the cost of $600, if this is true then I would wait it out.

I'd wait for the R9 290X because it will be about the same price or lower than the 780 and there will be water blocks for the R9 290X.

Have any companies confirmed r9 290x water blocks. (EK preferably)

But for how long!!!! Because by the time I wait for these new cards, what if people are saying to wait for nvidia's rebuttal?

they are going to hit the market early october so it wont be a long wait.

Not sure about an article but it should hit the markets on the 15th.

also do i really need to pre-order one? will they be sparse?

I wouldn't preorder one because I would usually wait for reviews before buying a new card.

I would wait for the NDA to be lifted, see where it sits performance wise and go from there.
