Windows 8 Pro ISO

Artem
Go to solution Solved by Matsy,

I would of just used my disk if I had a dvd drive :D

Oh lol

Well this then :P

http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/18309-windows-8-upgrade-iso-download-create.html

Since you have a legit windows 8 key, you can use this method.

It will download the same copy of windows you have right now (32bit or 64bit)

Make sure you select install by creating media at the end and then click ISO.

Then you can mount that ISO to your boot drive with http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/html/pbPage.Help_Win7_usbdvd_dwnTool

Is there anywhere I can download a legal copy of windows 8 pro to put on a usb? I have a retail copy of it, but was  wondering if there are downloadable iso's like there are for windows 7...

thepiratebay then use a code?

I was thinking about it, but uploaders sometimes alter some files in those iso's. I am looking for a clean untouched iso so I can use with microsoft's usb install tool.

honestly, TPB is good about not messing with the code. Just use the highest leached / seeded one.

I wouldn't be surprised if Windows 8 and Windows 8 Pro are the same disc, but the key just is for the specific version. If it's an 8 key, it deactivates anything the Pro has.

Pretty sure there's an option at the end of the upgrade to windows 8, to download .iso to install it later

Erm...you can use your disk to make a usb boot drive.

1.  Open command prompt (run as admin)

2.  type "diskpart" and hit enter

3.  type "list disk" and hit enter, you will be able to see by the size column which one is your usb stick

4.  Say its disk 2, type "select disk 2" and hit enter

5.  Wipe it by typing "clean" and hit enter

6.  When thats done type "create partition primary" hit enter

7.  type "select partition 1" and hit enter

8.  type "active" and hit enter

9.  type "format fs=fat32" and hit enter and let it run.

10.  type "assign" and hit enter

11.  Copy all files needed for the install onto the USB drive (all the files on the DVD)

Or you can use http://www.magiciso.com/download.htm

To make an ISO out of your disc and then use http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/html/pbPage.Help_Win7_usbdvd_dwnTool to make the usb boot drive.
