Xbox 360 controller with BF3

So I have both a wired and a wireless controller for my PC. I want to use it with BF3. I am awful with KB+M for FPS games for some reason, and I play better with a controller.

I know a mouse is faster and more accurate, but it doesn't matter to me in BF3. I just want to be able to kill and fly planes ;_;.

Step 1. Plug in the Xbox 360 controller to your PC(wired is preferred).

Step 2. Launch BF3

Step 3. Play BF3 with Xbox 360 controller.

I've done this and it doesn't work ;_;.

I also want to use a controller in order to play BF3 on my TV.

Have you tried to remap controls? Default ones might not be working since, as with my controller, game and driver have different names for buttons. Playing on TV isn't any issue or shouldn't be.

If you are using a wireless controller with the recharger kit it will not work for you. You would need a reciever for your PC for that to work.

If you have a fully wired xbox 360 controller and its still not working then all you might need to do is download the driver from the Microsoft website.

I suggest you start practicing your aiming skills with a mouse. I know you're used to the controller, but trust me, the small amount of time getting used to the mouse+keyboard for shooting is VERY much worth it. As for flight controls, stick with the controller. It's easier to fly a heli, and especially a jet, with the analog sticks.

Yeah I have the wireless receiver. It's the weirdest thing. I haven't tried yet again, but previously using a controller then starting it or starting it then using a controller hasn't worked. But it works for Dead Space 3 in Origin. I'll try again later.
