Hello all, fairly new to the forums here. I have been messing around With a dual CPU build (kind of like the $150 gaming PC Linus built) but I can't seem to get windows 10 to recognize the second CPU. I feel like it is something simple that I am missing. I am running these specs right now any help would be appreciated thank you.

Dell t5400 case and mobo

Dual Xeon E5450 CPU

8 GB of ddr2

Xfx R7 360

Does the BIOS show both CPUs?

Have you split the RAM evenly between the two CPUs?

That is the problem. I get a video error like 103 something and says it's not supported with that video card. I have never had an issue getting in to any bios before.

Does the MoBo has a VGA-output you can use to run the sysem without the GPU?

No. I do have the old quadro FX 1700 I took out when I put in the R7

than use it to get into the BIOS and look for awkward settings for the PCIe slots. Mayby something is messed up.

OK got it loaded into the BIOS and it saw both CPU's so I tried booting and got the error multiprocessor configuration not supported.

If that is a windows error make sure 100% that you have 10 pro. If not try a version of linux they don't have cpu limits.

Are you sure the windows is activated properly. Sometimes the servers are overloaded and you have to manually trigger the activation process a few times.
