It depends what kind of RAID you want. Pretty much all RAID types would render 3TB of the 4TB drive useless if you put it in RAID with the 1TB. (if we're talking hardware RAID. With software, you could partition it and setup RAID on partitions, but it's a lot of hassle for not much gain). 

 

(also, why are you wanting to setup RAID?)

You can add anouther drive, but there is not use using a raid.

While you can technically do a RAID 0 or RAID 1 array with those two drives, you'd accomplish nothing by doing so.

Note that your capacity will be 2 times that of your SSD if you RAID 0 the drives, or 1 time that of your SSD if you RAID 1 them.

What do you need the array for? Data redundancy? In that case you're better off adding another 1TB hard drive to your rig and RAIDing those, as I'm planning to do.
