Pfsense router build

I have watched the linus tech tips pfsense router video but i am still unsure about 2 things. the first thing is:   Is this system good enough

 

Intel pentium g3220

24gb ram (had laying around)

msi mpower z97 motherboard 

cx430m psu

wd blue 1tb

 

secondly which networking components do i need for my pfsense router?

yes it's good enough, and you will only need an extra gigabit adapter, the signal comes in from your motherboard, goes out through the gigabit adapter

on topic: that'll be the world's most badass router

just add an additional network card for the LAN side of things, maybe a wifi card, and good to go.

EDIT: could someone smarter than me verify how pfsense is on the wifi side of things? i recall teksyndicate talking about it being rather outdated.

I look to have my router wired up with ethernet to my 3 other computers in my room and i hope that it will improve on my current 15mbps
