The bezel looks pretty bad... :(

I like the color scheme of Noctua fans. Deal with it. Forget about the bad memories of the past.

I'm very content with 1080p still lol

Have you seen 1440p? I went from 1440p to 1080p and I definitely notice the difference

The monoprice ones are a bit different. They are rejects but they do have a bar for quality.

the monitor also has vga, and you said you had a dvi gpu, hence you could try using a vga to dvi adapter as long as your gpu supports analog dvi, which it most likely does, that would be called dvi-i, using adapters is a very very normal thing, you can do nearly anything you want with them, you can either go with a dvi to vga adapter, if your gpu doesnt't have dvi-i you could just connect through the dvi-d which is basicly dvi just digital and not analog.

adapters are amazing things than can overcome most issues, as long as you keep in mind digital has to be digital and analog has to be analog, or else you would have to buy an active signal converter which can be abit expensive.

Derp im an idiot

it's easy to miss, re-read my comment as i did abit of editing while you were replying, not talking down on you or anything, you probably know most of this, just supplying some random information, anyhow the monitor has more connections than just displayport :P.

These are rebranded Koreans.

Look at it this way

The good monitors are (should be) A+ panels

And korean cheapos are A- panels

These rebranded ones are kinda in between. Its like a higher A-. Still potential issues thats why theyre cheap. You just pat for better support so theres a chance to get a refund
