hi im building my first ever pc for gaming and coming from a console so obv dont know much as some out there, its going to be for ive done some research and know whats compatible and what not but thats really it.

i was going to go with a asus z170a mobo, is this a good mobo or not? i have £150 to spend on a mobo.

i thought this might be a good choice from the m.2 and the auto over clocking that you can do on there asus 5 way optimization oftware and also the price of £120.

is this mobo like up to date? and if i shouldnt get this what should i get? thank you.

Don't set a specific budget for your motherboard. Put together an entire build and see what your price comes out to from there. That being said, I agree with @roughavoc.

money is not an issue but that being said i dont wanna be suckered in to buying some sort of nonsense like the maximums or what not , i just want something that is going to be reliable and that has some good features like good audio and enough fan headers.

suitible for gtx 1080 sli?

Don't get 1080 In SLI... Half the games on the market don't even support It. Go for a single 1080 with a nice Haswell-E chip of some sort, or put some of that money towards a better mobo.

But what ever you do, don't waste your money on SLI, It can even decrease preference In some cases...
