Turbo Boost

Hi

I have i7 6700 (non-k)

 

does it has turbo speed?

 

because in computer properties it doesn't show that

it says only 3.4 GHz

shouldn't be that it has turbo speed up to 4 GHz?

 

did I do something wrong?

The CPU will turbo when it finds that it has the "headroom" to increase performance.

Computer properties isn't the place to go for that kind of info, check task manager for real-time mostly not-really-accurate clock speed

 

A third party program like CPU Z would be much more accurate

Windows that show the properties or name of the CPU like "system" and "device manager" will only show its base clock since that's not actually a report on its speed - more of just the name of the CPU.  You can see what speed it is actually running at in realtime with something like CPU-Z

Task Manager can be quite inaccurate actually

Lol no, task manager is not accurate. Shows my 4790k running at 5.2 GHz instead of 4.5... Use CPU-Z for accurate CPU clock reading.

True, but it's better than Windows Properties  (which doesn't show real time info of course)

 

Something like CPU Z or HWMonitor would give a more accurate number

Real temp shows pretty good accuracy of CPU speed as well as your temps obviously.. would advise downloading that
