This is a good PSU: http://pcpartpicker.com/product/qYTrxr/evga-power-supply-220g20550y1 Also, I know this wasn't your question, but do yourself a favor and don't get an FX-6300. Get something like an i5 6500. Also you might want to consider getting the GTX 1070 when it comes out instead of the R9 390. It will be around 50 dollars more though. And don't get the founders edition of it.

Hello, I'm updating my PC and I'm looking into getting a Sapphire r9 390 8GB, along with an Fx-6300.

No OC to be done on either the CPU or GPU.

Something like the Evga 500B then would do well

I am a paid professional, but only when I am at work...and getting paid.

The 6300 bottlenecks the 390. Do as @Matias_Chambers said.

Planning on trying StarCitizen (Highly recommended)? STAR-NR5P-CJFR is my referal link

Alright. I'm not from the US so the 1070 won't be coming to my country until next year or so, priced way above the r9 390, as it happens with every new GPU that comes out.

Do you reckon this could be replaced by an i5 6500 and a gtx 970? Both these combos are whithin my budget

Can you provide a link to the store you are buying from, as well as your budget?

Prices/budget can't be adjusted or shown to US because dollars are more expensive here than what they should be. So what would be a ~800 USD pc ends up costing 1k USD, converting my currency to USD.

I'm aware that different region will affect pricing and availability (what you get for $100 USD, CAD, AUD, NZD, etc. are all different). By showing us a link to the store you are buying from, it will show us what is available to you and the price it is at in your currency. Your budget, provided in your currency, will help us determine our recommendation(s).

Site is compumar.com . Budget is about 16k argentinan pesos. I have ram, an HDD (1TB), I want to get an SSD (120GB just for the OS).

Studying programming so I'm compiling a lot.

Games to be played (1080p): BF3, BF4, Subnautica, Rust, SW:Battlefront, Need For Speed, GTA 5.

Setup the guy from the store gave me was:

CPU: i5 6500

Motherboard: Gigabyte H110M-H

SSD: Corsair 120GB

GPU: MSI GTX 960 4GB

PSU: Sentey XPP - 625W

Case: Vitsuba 9070 Predator

Total price: $15.700 (Argentinan pesos)

OR

CPU: FX-6300

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A

SSD: Corsair 120GB

GPU: Sapphire R9 390 8GB

PSU: None but if you say a 500W can do fine then I'll get an EVGA 500-550W one (Only 550W PSU I found is an NZXT one which would add $1758)

Case: Vitsuba 9070 Predator

Total price: $14.500 (Argentinan pesos - Not including PSU)

I would go with 550w just to be safe. Is this PSU available in your country? http://pcpartpicker.com/product/qYTrxr/evga-power-supply-220g20550y1

Edit: An EVGA 600W one costs the same as the NZXT one mentioned above.

Prices for each item aren't included because they lower the total price of the build if I buy every component at their         store

Yeah, due to high import taxes, a lot of units many of us are familiar with will be vastly more expensive than what we are used to. A quality unit like the XFX XTR 750w that cost $110 here would be like $200+ there.

Anyways, I had found out that you are from Argentina from older post a while ago and have been looking around, so I'm posting a different site but it looks to be around the same price point. I would take a past on the non-PFC Sentey XPP units and the NZXT Hale82 v2 / N you are likely looking at (I don't think you are looking at the Hale82 - M) .

For 1639 ARS / ~118 USD, you could get the Seasonic S12II-B 520w.

http://articulo.mercadolibre.com.ar/MLA-620937302-fuente-seasonic-520w-s12ii-bronze-80-plus-_JM

The Seasonic M12II-B 620 EVO would offer full modularity and rated 100w higher for 2175 ARS / 156.83 USD

http://articulo.mercadolibre.com.ar/MLA-610155517-fuente-seasonic-620w-m12ii-evo-edition-620-watt-80-plus-_JM

EVGA 600B for 1648 ARS / ~119 USD

http://articulo.mercadolibre.com.ar/MLA-615397202-fuentes-evga-600w-reales-80plus-bronze-_JM

I would go for the EVO for modularity and quality (better than the EVGA 600B). Also, since options in Argentina is quite limited, I get it just to  provide you upgradability for the future.

So what you recommend is to get the "better price" by buying every part at this store and then buying the PSU somewhere different?

Let me try and get what the price would be of the i5 6500 + r9 390 + ssd + mobo + case. So as to see how far I am from my budget limit.

You could get it at the compumar.com store, if that's more convenient for you (what I had recommended was also listed at that store).

I had only used the http://articulo.mercadolibre.com.ar site because I was already had started to look through the site, linking, converting prices, etc. before I had realized you had posted a reply to me. My recommendation would still be the same, even if I had looked through the Compumar site, nonetheless.

The only problem with mercadolibre is that it's the argentinan equivalent to ebay/amazon. This means I MUST use my credit card for purchases and that increases the price of things by about 500 argentinan pesos. At the store I plan to pay in cash which means I'm not affected by any interest rate.

Ok. Re-linking my recommendation to the store you had provided, the Seasonic S12II-B 520w or M12II-B 620 EVO are the he best quality unit at that price point.

Okay so I asked for the prices of the i5 6500 R9 390 combo

CPU: i5 6500

Motherboard: Gigabyte H110M-H

SSD: Corsair 120GB

GPU: Sapphire R9 390 8GB

PSU: -

Case: Vitsuba 9070 Predator

Total price: $17.400 (Argentinan pesos)

PSU not included so I would have to add an extra 2.2k pesos to the total build price if I go with the  Seasonic M12II-B 620 EVO.
