1. Budget & Location

the aim is not the budget, the aim is that it does what i need for the least. then i will spare up to the point where I can afford it and buy it, i dont have price in mind, i have expectation in mind

location: Canada

currency: Canadian Dollar (CAD)

if you're using pc part picker, in top right corner you can swap to canadian currency.

2. Aim

latest games (watch dogs 2, the divison, far cry, witcher 3 and alike) 1080p stable 60FPS on high preset (no need for more)

then basic internet browsing, video watching

3. Monitors

single 1080p 60FPS with g-sync/freesync depending on which graphics card you get

4. Peripherals

nothing, i own keyboard/mouse and will get monitor

5. Why are you upgrading?

because laptop is too old to play "cool" games

RX 480 comes out pretty soonish, but id like already know what the whereabouts to price is, RX 480 costs about 200 usd, if your build plans, on me implementing RX 480 inside, add custom part worth 280 CAD.

technically i need it to do what is written in "2. Aim", scaled with price downwards.

The monitor is freesync?

are you sure 8gb is enough for the latest games? werent there games that needed more than 8gb? not to mention operating system itself
