VR Minimum specs

Will VR minimum specs go up, and is there a need to futureproof if one decides to go with VR (basically, how long with the 480 last?)

Minimum specs won't go up unless they completely remove the old line up of VR and replace it with "brand new VR". Around GTX 970/r9 390 or higher you will get reasonable VR experience.

Completely agree with Guuhan.

Speaking about GPU: R9 390/GTX 970 will be enough for a long time.

Speaking about CPU: NOW games don't consume much CPU resources, but later it might change depending on game complexity level (e.g. open world in VR and etc.).

Minimum specs will depends on the games in the future, so no one can really tell what will be needed until they are released. Right now a 970/390 is the minimum, but that may very well change a year from now.
