Malware crashing Shockwave Flash?

My Shockwave Flash keeps crashing on me in Google Chrome, I read it might be malware. What's the best malware detector recommend?

malwarebytes, and if i were you i wouldn't use flash or shockwave.. they're full of security flaws

It's the one already installed on Google Chrome, unless there is a work around I don't know of a better choice.

Ah.  Well, it's a plugin that even the creators are willing to kill off so if possible I would just stop using it, but if you need it, run a scan as mentioned above, and try reinstalling the browser and/or the plugin.  It might not even be malware - just a bug or instability in the program.

Ah ok, I'll try the ladder instead. Malwarebyte isn't even installing for me. Don't know if my computer is that messed up already or what. Just says that the file might be corrupted.

Try these steps and see what happens.

I need to do it every couple of months and so far it has always done the trick.
