I also think you should get a singhe HDD and put more of the money on the GPU so more of an graphical edge, lots of storage with an SSD won't give you a preformance edge now would it

true but this is for my mom and Dad so a fast bootup is what they need and they are not going to be gaming so a 970 is fine
