Hey.

So I've been looking around the GTX 1080 models and as usual there are versions stretching from about £550 to £700. My question is that is it really worth paying that much extra when money is an object?

I can't seem to find any difference between a cheaper MSI Armour 980 Ti and an expensive Lightning Edition other than maybe a 7% performance increase. Is a ~20% price increase worth the 5-10% performance increase?

Thanks folks.

wait for 1070. The different cards have different coolers, aesthetics and clocks // potential if binned.

You also pay for their marketing, possible upgraded components in power delivery and otherwise and possibly most importantly for me, good customer support.

Though thats not to say all expensive cards are worth it or all cheap cards have bad customer support. You need to take each card and each manufacturers on their merits individually

I don'T PreSS caPs.. I juST Hit THe keYboARd so HarD iT CriTs :P

10 days for GTX 1070 Founders Edition, and after that, 2 weeks of waiting for other partners to start selling non ref cards.

Will take some time :(

GTX 1070 will be an awesome card, but I don't think it will beat GTX 980 Ti in most games.

980 Ti is powerfull and it can be easily clocked to 1400MHz stable.

But even so, GTX 1070 will be great for that price :)
