Problem with Windows 7 and Corsair Force Series 3 120GB SSD, random data

So, within the last hour or so for some reason I've been getting aload of data added to my drive. Early today the drive had about 15-20GB free, whilst playing GTA IV I was switched to the desktop with a notification saying that I only had 50KB of space free. I ran disk clean up and deleted something like 21GB of temporary files and moved Metro 2033 to my secondary drive. However, no more than 10 minutes later I had the same problem again. The free space was being continuously used up. I wasn't downloading or doing any work, I was just playing GTA IV. My question is, what's going on; is it a problem with Windows recognising how much free space there is or is there an issue elsewhere? Cheers

Does this only happen when playing? If you clean up all the temp files and just let the computer idle for 30 mins, same thing happend?

It appears that while do minimal things like web browsing, the free space is staying constant.

Thanks, it appears that something was recording gameplay and took up 40GB.
