Hi

So, my old PC died with my PSU a few weeks ago (rip FX-8350 and 960), only thing i still have is one stick of ddr3 8gb 1866mhz memory

I have a very tight budget, and was looking to buy something but all the prices here in Argentina are waay too high, so i started looking at used hardware and i remembered i have a Gigabyte Ga-g41mt-s2pt, 775 socket, allows OC'ing, ddr3 memory up to 8gb, everything i need, but the socket is what got me thinking, the best CPU i can get here for that socket is the Q8300, so the entire PC would be something like:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 - $65

CPU Cooling: Hyper 212 Evo w/ Artic MX-4 - $95

Motherboard: Gigabyte Ga-g41mt-s2pt - I already have it.

Memory: 8Gb DDR3 - Idem

GPU: GTX960? Will it bottleneck if i overclock the processor? - $360 (( This goes later when i get money, i have a R7 250 at the moment, sad ))

PSU: Evga 500w W1 80+ - $100

Case: The one i had with the other computer

1 SSD, 1 HDD, already have those

Price: $260 - $620 w/ GPU // $3620ARS - $8620ARS w/ GPU

With this setup, will i be able to play games like The Witcher 3, Dark Souls 3, Mirror's Edge Catalyst at 1080p medium settings and don't have FPS drops? i don't know if i should buy the 775 CPU or buy new everything

Thanks and sorry for my bad english.

umm that GPU will bottleneck like a bitch,  maybe idk i just saw a video of a person playing gta 5 on that cpu but he never said the resolution he played at

i dont think it will run these games but if it can it will be on low and 30FPS max probably, and i doubt 1080p

non-cpu heavy games shouldn't be too much of an issue, but cpu-heavy games will have some bottleneck. better than nothing but try to find something better.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

Maybe if i get a GTX 950 the bottleneck won't be as bad?

if you can get a 860k and motherboard for it your gold or even an i3

It's double/triple the price, at least here in Argentina, prices are ridiculous

Will the GTX 950 bottleneck as badly?

Yeah, 775 CPUs can't even live up to GTA V  recommended. I searched, better off getting a new CPU and new Mobo. Try ebay, found a core i7 2600 for $170.

Can't use ebay because Argentina, no credit card or paypal, i can only use cash and everything here is very expensive, i7 2600 non K - $250, that's the cheapest after some research here
