Good stable OC on 980?

OCed my EVGA GTX980 SC (with HG10 bracket and H80i AIO) to 1500Mhz (1.212V) and very little OC on vRAM (7046Mhz effective, how much does vRAM OC actually help btw? Is it worth doing more?) using PrecisionX. My temps never get above 50C and AIDA64 reports 6.15 TFLOPs (that's like stock 980ti performance!?).

 

I have stressed with FurMark and in games and haven't noticed any weirdness/artifacts. Is this all I need to do to ensure stability? Basically you just look for artifacts during games/stress?
How do people monitor VRM and vRAM temps? I ordered a laser thermometer to try and get an idea of temps, would this work well? What are the max temps for VRM and vRAM?

Having issues with a Corsair AIO? Possible fix here:

Are you getting weird fan behavior, speed fluctuations, and/or other issues with Link?

Are you running AIDA64, HWinfo, CAM, or HWmonitor? (ASUS suite & other monitoring software often have the same issue.)

Corsair Link has problems with some monitoring software so you may have to change some settings to get them to work smoothly.

-For AIDA64: First make sure you have the newest update installed, then, go to Preferences>Stability and make sure the "Corsair Link sensor support" box is checked and make sure the "Asetek LC sensor support" box is UNchecked.

-For HWinfo: manually disable all monitoring of the AIO sensors/components.

-For others: Disable any monitoring of Corsair AIO sensors.

That should fix the fan issue for some Corsair AIOs (H80i GT/v2, H110i GTX/H115i, H100i GTX and others made by Asetek). The problem is bad coding in Link that fights for AIO control with other programs. You can test if this worked by setting the fan speed in Link to 100%, if it doesn't fluctuate you are set and can change the curve to whatever. If that doesn't work or you're still having other issues then you probably still have a monitoring software interfering with the AIO/Link communications, find what it is and disable it.

just leave the memory clock speed if you want. dont assume the performance in TFLOPS, run firemark and see what score you get and see if its stable. play a game for a couple of hours to see if stable.

I would focus on core speed first then see what you can get out of the Vram as they go hand in hand. It also depends on the card as my GTX980ti likes in when the Vram is at 2000+mhz at 80mv+ and 1557mhz on the core but if I lower the Vram to about 1900mhz it is not stable. Also higher Vram clocks I don't know if you would notice any FPS difference maybe 5-10. But it helps with loading larger things in the Vram so higher res and textures

Are you getting weird fan behavior, speed fluctuations, and/or other issues with Link?

Are you running AIDA64, HWinfo, CAM, or HWmonitor? (ASUS suite & other monitoring software often have the same issue.)

Corsair Link has problems with some monitoring software so you may have to change some settings to get them to work smoothly.

-For AIDA64: First make sure you have the newest update installed, then, go to Preferences>Stability and make sure the "Corsair Link sensor support" box is checked and make sure the "Asetek LC sensor support" box is UNchecked.

-For HWinfo: manually disable all monitoring of the AIO sensors/components.

-For others: Disable any monitoring of Corsair AIO sensors.

That should fix the fan issue for some Corsair AIOs (H80i GT/v2, H110i GTX/H115i, H100i GTX and others made by Asetek). The problem is bad coding in Link that fights for AIO control with other programs. You can test if this worked by setting the fan speed in Link to 100%, if it doesn't fluctuate you are set and can change the curve to whatever. If that doesn't work or you're still having other issues then you probably still have a monitoring software interfering with the AIO/Link communications, find what it is and disable it.

If you are running stock BIOS just push it until it is stable. I don't think you can change Vram voltage in the stock BIOS. But I think they might be tied to core
