keyboard Mods For Mechanical Keyboard

Hi, I've gotten bored over the weekend and replaced the LEDs on my CMStorm Rapid to white. Been thinking of doing other mods to it as well. I'm thinking of adding Bluetooth connectivity too. Bought the Bluetooth chips already and is in the progress of drawing the schematics.

 

Any ideas what other mods to do?

 

Pardon the broken F7 key.. I didn't use it that much so I didn't bother replacing it

I have the same board but with blues. I want to replace some of the switches to Browns, maybe everything except wasd, get some custom key caps, and paint the outside. 

 

For replacing those leds, did you just unsolder them and pop in new ones or was there a bit more of a method?

Maybe also try to get different switches for your WASD keys? I think i´m gonna try that. (I want blue ones instead of brown)

Yea.. thinking of repainting it.. Maybe white on the backplate?

For mine I couldn't find the round through hole type white LED so i soldered a pair of component's leads to a SMD LED then soldered it in lol.. They worked out great and they're cheap.
