New headset suggestions.

Hey, I'm looking for a new headset with a mic for ~$100 give or take a little. I'll be mainly using it for games. I do listen to music a fair bit as well, mainly stuff with a lot of bass like EDM. It has to have decent sound quality, clear mic and good build quality.

dont get a headset!! get headphones and a separate mic probably those sony ^ that he said ive heard are good and are really comfortable but get a mic like this:

Like @whatthe_fuzz said. I would personally save up a bit more and get headphones + the modmic or a blue snowball, spend around $200 in total.

you are from australia, that complicates it alot. i allready have searched for headphones in australia, and i can say prices are at least duble with products that are not super popular, or they are just not there.

 

where are you buying from?

 

I suggest you Save money and buy M50 straight away.

I'm just going to go with the ASUS Orion. It's one of the only suggested headsets that isn't expensive as balls in Australia.

Surprisingly they're pretty much identical in price. I'm not a real big sound person so I'm not really fussed, as long as the quality is pretty decent.

This. A headset can be a more appealing solution, but value for money, you're better off going with headphones and a mic.
