RGB strips

if a buy like one of those big reels of RGB LED strip, can you cut them and spread pieces apart and attached them with wire or something and still have them all work off of the one remote, or does it have to stay in one huge long strip?

normally they come in 3 by 3... meaning that the smallest piece of the strip you can cut is 3 led's long...

They come marked where you can cut them, usually...

Yes you can do that as long as they are properly wired and hooked either in a chain or using a splitter they will work.

Look under Wiring LED's portion I go over two options, either soldering the copper contacts or getting those crimp down connectors, for RGB ones just remember they need to all go back to the controller.

What is a reliable brand of RGB LED strip to buy on amazon? It is not for inside a PC case, more for random places around the room, so a lot of length is good too and with a controller.

Edit: no idea how this got posted in graphics cards, it is not where i posted it lol.
