Okay, I'm a huge noob at overclocking but I've heard all of the good things that it does and..

Well, I decided to overclock my CPU! I might as well right? I own a i5-3570k!

Please tell me how this CPU-Z Valdiator is! http://valid.canardpc.com/457x0k

PS. I think its running at 1.25V or 1.50V how is that?

It's been stable, been using it for a while now! Running at 43'C-55'C maximum, hows those temperatures?
Please let me know, PS. I'm using a stock cooler right now! I'll be upgrading to a different cooler soon such as an Hyper 212 Evo or an H100i (Which I want more) just let me know how are the temperatures and if that is a good OC or not to stay at! Thanks in advance!

Whoa. 4.5 ghz on 1.2v with the stock cooler. Bravo. Get a h100i and really start pushing that chip.

If I were you I wouldn't stress that CPU until you get a good cooler. I think if you do a stress test using a stock cooler, and at that frequency (for too long) it might get too hot.

So...you haven't performed any stress testing on the CPU yet...can't guarantee if it's stable at all then.

You'll need to run tests where all the cores are at 100% load and the maximum power is drawn (i.e. Prime95, Intel Burn test, or AIDA64 System Stability test). It is suggested to run the test program for at least 24 hours to ensure the CPU is actually 100% (if not ~99%) stable at the target overclock.

If during the testing, either:

A) One of the test threads / cores stop...or program crashes,

B ) System freezes / locks-up

C) System "blue screens"

Then your overclock is NOT stable. You'll have to increase or decrease the voltage / multiplier / frequency / overclock.

After the changes have been made and saved, run the stability test again. Do this every time you make adjustments.

Also.

FYI - The Hyper212 may be a beast of a budget cooler, and you may find "close to your maximum" chips potential, while a great cooler, and it shits on the stock intel cooler .

I'd recommend a H100 from the get go, I bought a hyper 212+, I can crank my 2600k up to 5.1 without HT, 4.8 with HT, always leveling out at 78-80*c after 8 hours AIDA64 Stress testing.

What I'm saying is, its all well and good to run a high overclock daily using the Hyper 212+, a great cooler..

But you will end up wanting more. Plain and Simple.

Once you find the limits of the Hyper, you'll wonder about the H100I or alternative AIO Watercooling.

So like me, who should have bought the h100, do the right thing, don't sell it short, buy a h100 if you plan on finding the maximum overclock, if your doing it for shits n giggles, and probably having your daily overclock lower than 4.6ghz, then the hyper 212+ will fit the bill perfectly.

If buying the Hyper212 - Buy QUIET fans. I cannot get this across enough... The fans it has, are shit loud... Better alternatives are out there making the 212+ an even better performer.

Hyper212+ if not keeping daily overclock so high

H100 if you are, and want to know the max potential.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Idle I would say? Just running Skype, Google Chrome, Speccy, CPU-Z, Coretemp

Thats not stable it had to run prime95 for at least 12 hours with no errors to be stable 24-48 if u never turn off your pc.
