Is this an decent build? Gaming build under $600 MAX $700

This build is for a friend whose max budget is $700 but he wants to remain under $600 if possible his demand was that it should be able to play gta V with ease ( I think he wants something that plays gta V normal to good settings at 50 to 60 fps or so atleast)

My friend is not very knowledgeable with computers but i am not very good either so i am asking about it here.

Here is a build i put up via pc parts picker (he has windows key) please suggest better build that reduces cost and increaes preformance and has better compatibility or something thats better for the task at hand.

Should i go for r9m280x instead of gtx 960?

I had no idea about case and power supply either.

My friend has a new corsair cm 430 would that be of any use?

for the GPU id say get an r9 380 or if you can wait untill polaris comes out because of HBM and that they are aiming to get r9 390 proformance in the price range of a r9 380

Polaris doesn't have HBM memory :P, but yes, it's wise to wait for polaris :D

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

maybe the high end models will have HBM memory but still it seems pretty promising so thats why im going to use my GTX 760 until then

I'll make changes as commentary.

240GB in your SSD won't be enough. A 1TB HDD will serve you well and you can throw in an SSD later.

Some games really like RAM bandwidth. Switching to 2 sticks and a mobo that takes 4 DIMMs.

We're looking at new GPUs in two to four weeks, but if you must build now, the R9 380X is the best value.

Probably all of them? But maybe not depending on HBM2 yields. Maybe low Vega cards will have GDDR5X
