The answer was my PSU, i had a 6yr old 500w psu and bought a 750w PSU. Seems like the PSU couldnt run the 1.36v overclock :) The answer was my PSU, i had a 6yr old 500w psu and bought a 750w PSU. Seems like the PSU couldnt run the 1.36v overclock :)

My rig : Intel i5 4690K @ 4.6ghz w/ 1.364v cooled by 120m coolermaster seidon push/pull.
             Nvidia GTX 960 asus strix

             Silverstone 500W PSU

             Kingston fury 1600mhz

             Asus z97-p 

i get MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION when i play gta v and sometimes just randomly. Do you guys have any suggestions ?

hardware issue. Usually means overheating, a broken part, CPU error, or something of the nature. Read the wiki article.

Overclock is unstable.

 

Remove it, and play for a while. If you get the error again.. some bit of hardware probably died, we'll cross that bridge if we come to it

probably psu  or mobo related from all I've seen from google searches

it's related to hardware, so could be an overheating CPU, overloaded PSU, badly fitted parts, etc.

probably your OC tbh

Well, i completed the mission that i couldnt cuz the pc crashed, how do i get a more stabel overclock ? I dont think its overheating cuz when i run stresstestes for about 15min it never goes above 80*C. And i've had this exact same clock for like 6months and then now its starts acting funky ? more voltage to the cpu or what do you suggest ?

The PSU could be the issue, its about 5-6years old. I've had this clock and voltage for about 6moths and now its starts acting funky.

No, i dont trust the other PSU on my old computer :D
