GPU install

Hello guys my PC turning ON, but display is black and not sure from where is the problem. 

 

I watched recently Linus ''How to install GPU'' video and he plugs in 2PCI-E cables but i dont have thoose, only got this:

Are they the reason its not working? Excuse my question if to stupid, but first time building have no idea.

It'll work, you have to combine the dangling thingy with it's respective 6 pin to make an 8 pin connector and you plug that into the GPU. Also, put them in the right way around (They're keyed, so it's impossible to do it wrong)

Sorry for not replying sooner, but that cable it used to combine 2 6 pin connectors to make a single 8 pin connector.
