will a 120gb ssd be enough?

is a 120 gb ssd too small? or should i go with a 250gb? im thinking about getting a samsung 850 evo 120gb $66, 250gb $87

This depends. What are you storing? Obviously OS. What about games? Do you have a secondary storage drive? Most likely, 120gb won't be enough in the long term and you're better off spending the extra $21 on the 250gb version. I've used 140 out of 250gb of my SSD, and I store games on a secondary storage drive, if you'd like a comparison.

i have a 1tb wd b but you're right i'm better off getting the 250gb so i don't have to worry about ugrading, this is for my new build, thanks!

Or just buy a PNY CS1311 240GB for less than what you're paying for the 120GB 850 EVO.
