For the full review, please watch the video below which has plenty of sexy product shots of the ModMic

what is the ModMic?

The ModMic 4.0 is a boom microphone that lets you turn any set of headphones, into a full featured headset. The mic attatches with a small magnet that adheres to the side of your headset and lets you add and remove the mic with a simple pull. The mic can be rotated up with a twist if you need it out of the way.

There are also adapters that let you use it with USB devices/tablets/laptops without mic jacks, and a console adapter for PS4/Xbox One headsets

The Audio sounds great as you can hear in the video which was recorded entirely with the mod mic with NO audio processing

TLDR - a really good sounding mic that you can use to turn any set of headphones into a headset for your PC and Console, no more crap headsets

I don't even need to watch the video to agree. I've got two ModMic 4.0s -- they're pretty damn great. I use them with AKG Q701s.

Yeah its such a neat solution and it sounds great too, and not even that expensive

better than most mics on any "gaming" headset

I would say better than ANY mic on a gaming headset. Even super expensive sets have mediocre microphones.

GAMING PC "Ol' Bessie":

Ryzen 7 7800X3D | Radeon RX 9070 XT | Gigabyte B650M AORUS Elite AX | G.Skill Flare X5 6000MT/s CL36 16GBx2 | 5TB of SSD POWER | EVGA SuperNOVA 850W GT | Noctua NH-U14S | Fractal Design Pop! Mini AirCachyOS

Kind Of A Home Lab "Bay":

Ryzen 9 5900XT | Intel ARC A310 | ASUS PRIME B550-PLUS | T-FORCE 3200MT/s 16GBx2 + Corsair 3200MT/s 32GBx2 = 96GB!!! WOW!! | 2TB boot SSD + 8TBx6 HDD RaidZ2 | EVGA SuperNOVA 650W G2 | Phanteks Enthoo Pro M | Ubuntu 24.04 LTS

I've never heard of Beyerdynamics gaming headsets. That tells you how much I know about headphone brands :P What are they called?
