I'm having trouble with my Steelseries Kana v2, specifically with its scrollwheel. Everything works fine when scrolling a page upwards, but when scrolling downwards like every half-to-full spin it scrolls a chunk back up. This is really annoying as if I try to scroll through a page, I don't really progress at the scrolling; its like taking 2 steps down and 3 steps up....

What could be wrong with the mouse and can I myself somehow repair this?

humm, this could be very possible. is it hard to open up a mouse nowadays, like are they built to be opened or are they somehow sealed? i haven't been cleaning a mouse since when you had to take the ball out and wipe it clean:P

maybe you have a small bristle/brush you can get into the mousewheel with?
