The Iris Pros on Broadwell are fantastic - the Skylake ones are craptastic.

Any particular reason why the improvements were removed with skylake? seems like a step in the wrong direction.

I understand not putting it on the high end i7s as most of the customers at that price range will have a dedicated gpu, but it makes no sense that it was omitted with the lower end chips like the i3.

The ultrafast L4 dRAM got cut due to price.

No its not. Its 53% And for a CPU that's not being sold as an APU, that's pretty good. Again. You also can't upgrade the 7870k to anything. You can throw an i5 or even an i7 on the skylake build.

Either you can't do math or you fail to see that the HD 530 is MUCH slower than the R7 and the HD 530 is the default skylake iGPU EVEN ON THE i7 6700K. For fuck's sake.

(17 / 32) *100 = 53.125

53% better if you're doing math with the numbers you said.

I'm not saying upgrade the CPU before buying a dGPU... Chill dude.

i3-6100 system, then buy a 960 or something, then upgrade the CPU if the OP needs it.

Fine you want the PSU tier list? Have the PSU tier list: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1116640-psu-tier-list-40-rev-103/

He's talking about 17 being 53% of 32. You're talking about a 90% improvement over the 17. You are both correct in that math.

And you're correct overall.

You're both right in math. don is correct overall.
