Can't Get Past Updates

I have an old machine (W7) that I thought I might want to make useable again my running things like malwarebytes. But upon booting it, it got stuck trying to install updates. I don't have any spare windows keys and no spare Windows  7 machines. I do have a windows 8.1 disk, but I've already used to key (though I've upgraded to W10). What should I do?


Specs (don't know why you'd need these)
64-bit W7

2GB RAM

Celeron Processor
