The 650 is more than enough even when your GPU and CPU are OCed

Hey fam,

So I've just purchased a 980Ti, and I'm wondering whether I need to upgrade my PSU. Currently I have a Corsair RM650, and my setup is the following:

Main Components:

  • CPU: i5 4690k @ 4.40GHz
  • GPU: MSI 980Ti 6G Gaming
  • RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 @ 1600MHz
  • Mobo: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD3H
  • PSU: Corsair RM 650
  • Cooling: Corsair H100i
  • SSD: Corsair Force LS 120GB
  • HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB
  • Case: Corsiar Obsidian 450D (with two 140mm and one 120mm fans)
  • Optical drive: LG combo drive

Peripherals:

  • CoolerMaster Quickfire XT Mechanical Keyboard
  • Corsair M45 Mouse
  • NZXT HUE RGB LED Case lighting (24 LED's)

I checked on the outer vision website for PSU recommendations based on my setup, and it recommended a 650W PSU if I used a base clock on my 980Ti. Let's be real though, no one uses a base clock. So when I put in a clock speed of 1450MHz, it recommended a 750W PSU.

So my question is, what do I do...

Any help will be greatly appreciated!
