Gaming Headsets

elexi0s

what's the bets gaming headset for a pc for under $150.

i mainly play counter strike and im a very high rank so a good quality headset matters.

only a couple requirements, must be under $150 (as previously said).

must have good surround for counter strike.

must have a braided cable (this is more important than you may think).

also if you could explain your reasons for you suggestion so I can choose the better ones to research more in depth.

Thanks For Posting!!!xD

I didn't realize CS:GO skill correlated with enjoying high-quality audio... maybe I'd be good at CS:GO too if I tried :P

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

I use the Razer Kraken 7.1 headphones and they are good for CSGO, it is easy to hear the direction of another player. It has a reasonable mic as well.

Nope. Let's not recommend garbage. Cloud II's are better and cheaper, Game Zero's are MUCH better and more expensive.

Any decent pair of headphones and something like a mod mic is better than most gaming headsets. If you NEED a gaming headset then the one mentioned by JoeyDM is the best around for under $150.

I use my Philips SHP 9500 and a cheapo desktop mic to play CS:GO.

If youre ok with sound leaking from your headset i highly recommed getting philips shp9500s and something like v-moda boompro for the microphone.

@Ryan_Vickers

Well high quality audio lets you hear crisper clearer footsteps and gunfire allowing you too be more precise in pre aiming the enemy if you know where they are from their noise. also i want to have good headphones for music and other things too but mainly cs.

so currently the best 2 options are the senheiser game one and the cloud II. but the cloud II is a lot cheaper, and i would rather not spend all my cash so any opinions?
