NVIDIA Shadowplay Alternatives

Is there any good shadowplay alternatives?

Reasons I don't like shadowplay :

* requires running "backend.exe", the #1 reason for 100& CPU usage.

* Internet connection required to turn it on.

*Cannot be used without GeForce Experience. Slows my browsing speed sometimes, automatic driver download is off.

 

Reasons I like Shadowplay :

* ......well.... many reasons to like..

OBS is good!

If you're like me and you use Shadow Play for the "OH SHIT, DID YOU SEE THAT, I WANT THAT ON VIDEO" moments, then there isn't really an alternative. However, OBS is a great recording and streaming platform that is much better than shadowplay. Also, audio encoding is a thing on OBS *cough Shadow Play cough*

if shadowplay is causing you to have 100% cpu usage,

pretty much everything else will AFAIK

Oh, shadowtime.... I always turn that off for some reasons...

Details : shadowplay runs with "backend.exe", backend.exe is the reason for 100% CPU usage...

rest of the time I end this process via task manager..

yea but shadowplay is one of the least, if not the lowest, cpu resource hogging capture software

 

are you using the old one or the share(beta)? what gpu are you using specifically?

 

if you really hate it so much, i suggest taking a look at obs, though that is heavier on the cpu side of things compared to shadowplay

OBS afaik can use the NVEnc shadowplay API for recording and streaming

1.I update my driver every month.

2. "backend.exe" is Geforce experience thing. It has nothing to do with recording/shadowplay

1. shadowplay have nothing to do with the driver, it's has to do with the geforce experience

1.5. the newer drivers are crap

2. it does AFAIK, shadowplay doesnt work if i disable that upon start-up
