So the internet is kind of working on my computer, most web pages such as this one work fine but others don't. For example youtube will load up the page, but the videos won't play, same kind of thing with spotify. Facebook will load but only the very top, it doesn't load anything further down. Does anybody have any idea what is going on?

maybe your connection is very slow and it's timing out on more complex pages than this one?

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Well maybe, but it usually works, so unless something is wrong with my ISP. I usually get up to 6.5MB/s

odds are it's actually a software issue on your end.  Have you tried other browsers, and/or other devices?  If they don't have an issue, you probably just need to reset something or adjust some settings.

hmm...what happens if you replace the domain name with the websites IP address?

YouTube: (YouTube is a sub-server of Google, can't use it)

Facebook: 31.13.71.36

See if Facebook works with that.

So I reset my pc and at first it didn't turn on again, so I did the hard turn off thing where you hold down the power button. I then turned it on again and still nothing so by this point I was kinda freaking out. turns out the hdmi had just come loose, probably why nothing showed up when I reset it. But now it's on again everything is working properly :)
