My first build - help me :)

This is my first gaming PC build ever. I’am totally amateur  So I have some questions, can you help me with?

PS: right now, after NVIDIA release new video card. I thing to replace GTX 970 with new GTX 1070. What do you thing?

 

1.Do you thing that this PC will be powerfull to handle games at 4k resolution? (GTA V, Witcher 3 etc)

2.I’am not sure about the CPU, is the i5-6500 powerfull enough for my video card and playing games in 4k?

3.Monitor: I would like to buy this: https://www.alza.cz/28-asus-pb287q-4k-d1940221.htm (price 560 USD) Do you thing this is worth it? I mean price vs performance

A single GTX 970 won't do very well at 4K resolution. Some games might be fine, but anything demanding you will struggle to get decent frame rates. 

 

Your best bet would be to wait for the GTX 1070/1080 before buying anything, so that you can see the performance.

 

Are you buying all the parts from alza.cz website ? It might be a good idea to state your budget in Czech Crowns.

My budget was something around 30 000 CZK (1200$) Right now the total price is 33 800 CZK and I am fine with that. 

And do you thing that the CPU is okey to handle games at 4K? I don't want to be limited by the CPU. Thanks

The graphics card is more important, as the majority of games are gpu intensive. An i5 would be fine for a pure gaming system. If you plan on doing other things such as Video editing/Rendering/Streaming etc then I would go with the i7. Just make sure you get the 'k' cpu (i5 6600K/ i7 6700K) if you want to overclock.

 

A single GTX 1080 might be enough for 4K but it would be best to wait for some reviews.

Zdravím, 

podľa mňa ti stačí i5, kt. si potom overclockneš, čiže radšej by som upustil z toho 4k monitora a investoval inde. Nejaký lepší chladič procesoru, aby si overclockoval, keď už chceš Z-tkovú matičnú alebo i7 rovno, poprípade kvalitnejšie a väčšie SSD. RAMky si kúp 2x8 a nie je 4x4. Určite by som počkal na 1070/1080. A čo sa týka Alzy, nie je v Česku lepší resp. lacnejší obchod? Na Slovensku sú pomerne predražení.

Sabroo: chladič asi vezmu něco lepšího no. Mas nějaký tip? A RAM 2x8 kuli lepšímu proudění vzduchu nebo kuli čemu?  A HW nebudu kupoval určitě na alze, kouknu se i jinde. Na alze to jen dávám dohromady mají na to v košíku "program"

Máš na výber mnoho chladičov, záleží na tebe čo dáš prednosť dizajnu, hlučnosti a pod. 2x8 je hlavne lepšie preto, že v budúcnosti si to budeš vedieť upgradenúť a vraj by mali aj fungovať výkonnejšie. Potom si pozri, ako správne zapojiť do slotov, aby si nedal obe do jedného a jeden ti zostane voľný.

Not that psu. Also $380 for a GTX 1080 ? I think you are a bit off the mark with that one. You won't get much change from $600, or $700 if you go for the founders edition.
