So I woke up and went to turn on my PC this morning and I got nothing when I hit the power button. I made sure the switch on the PSU was on, and I made sure all the plugs were good and getting power, still nothing. I tried pressing the power button at different angles just in case the button was physically broken. The only thing I got to happen was if I hold the power button for maybe 5 - 7 seconds release, then press it again, the fans start to spin for maybe half a second then nothing, My PC has been working normally up until now and I hadn't changed anything since I powered it off last night. The only differences is that I changed the power supply about a week ago. Any suggestions?

Make sure it isn't the switch. As stupid as that may sound, I actually broke my power button once, and now I'm using Reset as a replacement.

Yeah that's what I thought it might be but that doesn't explain why the fans will spin if I hold the button, release, then press again.

Reset CMOS.

Used to happen frequently on my old PC. Resetting CMOS helped everytime.

Alright, I'll try that when I get home from work tonight.

Turns out the problem was the power supply. Just got home from work, tried resetting the BIOS, jumping the power pins directly, different power socket, different amounts of RAM installed and still nothing. Plugged a different power supply into the board and it started up fine. This really sucks because I just bought this power supply a week ago so I don't understand why it would die like this? Seasonic has good customer support right?聽
