Ultimate cooling w/ standard CPU cooler

TheUnicornMan

So I have all this time during spring break and I tought I'd go with this project: Achieving the best cooling/overclocking on a stock cooler.

My familly owns a vending machine companie, so we have a few cooling units. I have praticly no budget for this project so it's gonna be as ghetto as possible.

My Corsair C70 won't fit the cooling unit (the radiator is the equivalent of a double thick 480mm rad) so I am going to find a sort of container that I am gonna be able to drill in order to fit fans in it and the bulk of the cooling unit outside. I've got a few recycling bin I could use, and a spare metal plate that I could use to fit my motherboard on.

I am pretty sure that I will be able to achieve GOOD temps because that thing is designed to keep a vending machine at +- 4C, so running full out I might achieve under 0 ambiant temps.

Concerns: I have a MSI 970a-G46 motherboard, I am not sure about the stability if I get my CPU closer to 4GHz...

Hardware:

AMD phenom II x4 965

MSI 970a-g46

16 GB G.Skill ares

Saphire radeon HD 7770 GHz

120GB Kingston v200+ SSD

Rosewill 650W modular power supply
