GPU optimization

I'm currently running a single Nvidia GeForce 6800 GT (from a Dell Dimension 8400), however i do also want to install a Nvidia Quadro 600

Reason - I need the Quadro so i can run modern games (i know a quadro not good at gaming but at least it supports directx 11) and i need the GeForce 6800 GT for additional video out puts.

Now i have done it in the past, but i did run into issues.
So is there any suggestions on how i can properly optimise running a single Nvidia GeForce 6800 GT and a single Nvidia Quadro 600 running at the same time

And does your CPU support SLI?

I think that's a 6600 GT (not 6800 GT), since it has a single slot cooler and D-Sub/VGA on PCB.

Put Quadro in first slot (as primary), and 6600 GT as secondary (in lower slot).
Within NV driver U should be able to configure multimonitor setup for them.
Newest driver for 6600 GT is 309.08 (it should support that quadro as well).
PS. Quadro 600 = GT 440 1GB (G)DDR3.

GFE doesn't support GPU's that old :

Ok, my card is certainly a 6800. (though i'm not sure if its a 6800gt) my card from left to right, has S-Video, VGA, DVI. it might seem weird, and probably because i pulled the card from a old dell

6800 GS GPU but DAT DDR(1) memory... OUCH.
Basicly U got a OEM card produced by some nameless china corp. to go along with some big company PC's.

Is it out of the Question to buy a newer cheap card for gaming now and use it if you want to upgrade?

 

Like the R9 270/x or the GTX 750 Ti/ GTX 950.

 

Both play games pretty well (newest games are played on low though.) and it can give your PC a bit for life and future proofing/resistance.

As a young kid, it's almost out of the question to get a card. I got the Quadro from my dad
