So I noticed that in few months i7 6800k will be released, and I might be able to upgrade my system by the end of the summer.

Right now I have Corsair RM 650x PSU, and just wondering if that would be enough for future upgrade.

So CPU would be i7 6800k (140W)

GPU probbably GTX 1070 (less than 200W I guess)

But what if I later decide to put another GTX 1070?

Also I would OC that CPU to at least 4,0GHz for daily usage.

Same goes with GPUs ... right now we don't know how much power consumption gtx 1070 will acctually have, and it's OC posibilities.

But how much power does X99 board need? No idea about that :)

I found on web some details that motherboard can take between 30W and 200W, depending on how good it is etc.

Any idea how much does X99A krait edition need?

The MoBo needs about 20 watts. But you also need:

15 watts for the RAM

200 watts * 0.2 = 40 watts for the VRM

Mineral oil and 40 kg aluminium heat sinks are a perfect combination: 73 cores and a Titan X, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Oil

So do you think 650W PSU will be able to handle 2x gtx 1070 OCed + i7 6800k OCed to like 4ghz?

With an OC to >2 GHz you easely push the 1070 over 200 watts. And an overclocked 140 watt CPU can also consume more than 200 watts.

For heavy OC it's to less, for midle OC it should work out well. Also remember you can only pull 650 watts from the PSU if it's high quality.

650W should basicly be okay for a single gpu setup and a 6 core i7.

But as soon as you are getting into the 8 or 10 core chips.

Then i would realy recommend to go with a higher wattage more decent psu realy.

Because once overclocked, those chips will consume power like a beast.

Even the 6 cores overclocked are allready pretty powerhungry.

But a decent 650W unit should basicly be sufficient for a 6 core overclocked and a single GTX1070.

Well for starter, I will only have 1 GPU, so it should be fine :)

But I will monitor my power consumption at stock and at OC speeds to see if 2nd card could work.

I think my PSU is good quality, since it's 80 plus gold certified, and I also asked on this forum about that PSU, and got good feedback for it.
