Fun things to do with a server?

I've had a Minecraft server up for a while so me and my friends could mess around, but now it's gotten old. What are some fun things you can think of to do with a server?

well, try out some other games, maybe a minecraft modpack, maybe some other services like a way to access your music collection on the go.

You could also host your own cloud service that includes document editing, multimedia playback, PDF support, and a bunch more functionality. Unfortunately, you need a very strong upload speed to pull it off successfully.

You could host other game servers, set up plex to stream media to all sorts of devices, use crashplan's free tier of service to make other machines automatically back up to it (doesn't even need to be on the same network), or

But personally I would suggest mumble for a home user. Teamspeak has a lot of restrictions for free users that Mumble doesn't have.
