Hi, i'm building my very first pc soon and i need you guy's to look at it.

The parts i've found are:
Asus Z170 pro gaming
HyperX Fury DDR4 2133MHz 16GB kit
Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD
Seagate Barracuda 2TB
Intel Core i5-6500
Fractal Design Define R5 black
Corsair CX600M
Nvidia GTX 1080

Because I don't have an overclockable processor, should i go with the Asus H170 pro gaming instead of the Z170, since they're basically the same?
I don't know if i will buy a GTX 1080 from nvidia or from someone else later for a cheaper price or even get a GTX 1070, again from another manufacturer for an even cheaper price. Any suggestions on this?
Anything you guys want me to switch out just let me know.

Use Pcpartpicker m8

Hold off the GPU until benchmarks

Change your PSU to anything seaonic or XFX, (Avoid XT)

Yes I would go for the h170 and save some money

Other than that, your build gets a thumbs up from me :)

1. Yes, you should go with the H170 to save some more $$.

2. Find a better PSU. EVGA G2/P2 Series are fine.

Are you building this PC now? If not, then ask us for advice when you will. The later you ask, the more accurate and appropriate recommendations you will get.

The problem is that this is an nVidia product and scoring any nVidia product a "zero" is also highly predictive of the number of nVidia products the reviewer will receive for review in the future.

Only yours, you don't shitpost on the same level that we can, mainly because this thread is finally dead and should be locked.

I wasn't wrong. It's extremely rare that I am. I provided sources as well. Different devs can disagree. Further, we now have confirmed discrepancy from Twitter about he use of the pre-release 1080 driver in AMD's demo despite the release 1080 driver having been out a week prior.

You apparently haven't seen his responses to questions on YouTube. He is very condescending and aggressive in his comments with which there is little justification. He acts totally different in his videos. I don't necessarily care for this content style and there is nothing really unique about him or his channel. His endless dick jokes and toilet humor are annoying as well.

Yea, the CX600M should probably be changed out for something higher spec. I'm using an EVGA 750W Gold, semi-passive and very efficient. Plus the cables look sick as balls.

Desktop ("White Bread") -

  • Corsair 760T
  • i7 5820k
  • NHD15
  • Gigabyte 970
  • 32GB Vengeance LPX 2666mhz
  • Samsung Evo 512GB, 1TB Seagate Barracuda

I'm hoping to build the PC as soon as possible. But because i have to wait for the 1080 to be available in stores, I really have no idea when I will start to build, but I expect to build it sometime during this summer.

yep

I'm thinking about the EVGA 650W Gold, the EVGA 550W Gold and the EVGA 750W Gold. 750W is about 6 USD more expensive than 650W and 650W is about 18 USD more expensive than 550W. Should i get 750W for possible future SLI or the 550W for saving 20 bucks? Also, would the 650W (and possibly the 550W) be sufficient for future SLI as well?

I didn't find any xfx psu's in any stores in my area, but i found a seasonic M12II-620 EVO for only 50 cents more than the evga 550W. So i will get that seasonic psu
