Got me a brand new Rosewill 850W power supply because my 390 doesn't seem to be getting enough juice from my current 650W
Slapped it in (expecting it to work lol)
Powered it on only to get no display. All my case fans and LEDs turn on, fiddled with all the connections and they were all good.
Still nothing. Unplug it, hold the power button down. Still no display, but now my "CPU_LED" light is solid whenever i power it on.

I tried using a different CPU cable, different plugs on the psu, every possible wire configuration.
Still doesn't work properly.

Plugged in my old power supply and my computer functions just as it was.
Is this psu dead?

Its probably not the psu. I would be surprized if the mobo or ram is dead. Try using different ram or taking out all sticks but one. Also try using the igpu if you have one.

But when I put the old power supply it works just fine
(I'm using it right now)
