Hi guys !

I'm planning to build a pc for the purpose of gaming, video editing (Adobe Premiere CC 2015) and a little bit of After effects. And im wondering if the parts I've listed below would be sufficient. If you're wondering what sort of games ill be playing H1z1 Just Survive, The Division, Fallout 3 & 4, Space Engineers, Minecraft, etc. My budget so far would $750 to $800 and in a year or two i would like to sell my CPU and GPU and purchase an upgrade.

--------Specs----------

CPU: Intel i5 6600
GPU: EVGA Gtx 960 ssc 4gb
Ram: corsair vengeance LPX 16gb DDR4
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD3
Storage 1: Kingston Hyper x Furry 120 GB SSD
Storage 2: Seagate 1tb hdd
PSU: EVGA 500w1
Case: Phanteks Eclipse Series P400 Steel ATX Mid Tower Case

Any advice or tips would be gratefully received.

Many thanks

Get a Xeon 1231 v3 for the hyperthreading and a better PSU. EVGA W1s are not something you want to get for a build like this.

Be nice to each other boys and girls. And don't cheap out on a power supply.

Depending on the effects you use, the difference in OpenGL and CUDA acceleration in Premier is ~10 effects that can't be OpenGL accelerated. You may want one more SSD for a scratch disk, rendered files and export, if you can swing it, but it's not necessary.

I honestly don't see the point of getting a 1TB HDD... Especially when you will be editing videos and such. Its gonna take up alot of space quite fast and going for a 2TB or more will save you more money per GB of space. So if I were you I'd get a 2TB or more even. Go for something reliable. Also, as other people say, the CPU should be switched out to an xeon, I am not sure on how the prices compare to an i7 but that is also an option since it has hyper threading too ,which for the kind of work you'll be feeding it won't do any harm. However, your current build can do it. It will game and will edit, any computer (almost any) can do that, it highly depends on whats your expectations for it. Also if you can, I'd imagine that 1070 will kick 960's balls to mars and back, so if you can stand waiting for a bit it might be a good bet, however if it will fit into your budget is a whole other story.

I once explained to my girlfriend what true love is. I said, "If you were a shit, I'd put you back in" and to this day, she is still my little shit.
