Im tryin to build a pc for my brothers bday, he wants to play doom and i already got most of the things i need.

an i7 4790 @ 3.6, 1tb WD,16gbs of ddr3 ram, a case, couple fans and a cpu cooler.

And so i was thinking of buying this super cheap mini itx board to go with the upcoming 1070 or 1080

Will this mobo be able to handle an i7 and a 1080/1070.

Is this just for gaming? Because an i7 will be overkill. Same with 16GB of memory as well. Also, it is not really the best to go with a B85 chip set. I mean you can, but if you were spending that much on a GPU and CPU you might as well go for a good motherboard to back it all up. Although it would work. Might as well spend a tiny bit more just for precaution.

CPU: i5 4670k @ 3.4GHz + Corsair H100i      GPU: Gigabyte GTX 680 SOC (+215 Core|+162 Mem)     SSD: Kingston V300 240GB (OS)      Headset: Logitech G930

Case: Cosair Vengance C70 (white)                RAM: 16GB TeamGroup Elite Black DDR3 1600MHz       HDD: 1TB WD Blue                              Mouse: Logitech G602

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium                       PSUXFX Core Edition 750w                                                Motherboard: MSI Z97-G45               Keyboard: Logitech G510

first its micro atx not mini itx.

what cooler have you got?

when you have got a good cooler i would go with a z97 board so you can overclock. the whole system will last longer if you have the ability do overclock in a couple years.

also what about the psu?
