Are 850w too much? I will hold off to get the 1080. I want it for gaming, video recording and edit and programming. Also is corsair the right one? And kinda off topic: should i go for a ripjaw ram or is vengeance good?

850 is too much but if you plan to SLI then might as well

Both the Ripjaw series and Corsair series of RAM are reliable, although I prefer the latter.

 

If you want the potential for SLI or future builds, keep the PSU, otherwise downgrade to lower wattages at higher efficiency ratings.

850W could power nearly three of that system so dial it back a bit unless you plan to SLI. Also, skip the yellow RM as it's old and not that great value. The EVGA GS/GQ/G2 550W are all enough for a 1080 and i7, and 850W is still a tad excessive with two.
