Bottlenecking with i5???

Hey, so I'm worried that maybe I'm going for too cheap/weak of a CPU compared to the GPU I plan to buy.

Currently, I plan to buy an i5-6600k along with the upcoming GTX 1080

Is the i5 powerful enough to keep up with the 1080? I've heard that having an i5 is not all that different to an i7 when it comes to gaming but I'm just worried about bottlenecking.

I'm also probably not going to overclock in the near future but eventually I might.
